Ran our of room, energy and superlatives on the last blog so thought I would take a break and start again on the rest of the journey through the north. Thought I might start with some statistics first.
We have covered over 11300km since we started. We have used 1720L of fuel at a cost of $2500.
We carry on the ute - 200L of fuel,100L of water, 3 spare tyres and we have used and replaced them all. We also still carry 3 blocks of cypress pine from Barakula State Forest (nearly 10 weeks ago) but Kerry has promised he will burn them at the Gregory or they will have nearly circumnavigated Australia!!!
Anyway back to Wyndham. The view from The Five Rivers Lookout was quite a vista. This pic overlooks the wharf area where they still offload iron ore.

Such a small dam wall for such a huge lake - holds the equivalent of 14 Sydney Harbours

Plenty of freshies hiding I
Catfish aplenty also and the occasional grunter and trigger fish
A family of euros
We swam in the Lake at sunset - right in the middle about 20m deep and no land for kms
Well looked after with wine, beer and nibbles
